Pastoral Care :: Stories
Would you recommend Sabbath Rest to someone
else? Why or why not?
"Absolutely – I’m going to start with my pastor
and his wife. I’m confident I’ll be talking it up to everyone I have
opportunity to talk with. This is a must process that all believers nee to be
educated about and given the opportunity to experience in order to be effective
representatives of Christ in an increasingly confused and dangerously shallow
Christian culture here the U.S. If an individual doesn’t know how to meet in a
meaningful way with Christ in order to receive from him how can the church body
be an effective witness to the world. We must start with our own personal lives
with Christ. Thank you brother Jim and sister Lois. May God bless you richly
as you continue to pass on this blessing to others." K.L.
"Yes. The perspective of
resting on God, plus the regimen for realizing this, is a much needed priority
in today’s world. Would also recommend the retreat as a focused way to gain
first or renewed exposure to the concept." D.L.
"Yes. I think this is missing
in so many people’s lives…and they probably don’t even realize it." J.C.
"Absolutely – I would love for
our prayer ministry people to have this opportunity. Also – great for couples!"
J.C.
"Absolutely. It was the Key I
did not have on my key ring that unlocked the door I needed to open." G.P.G.
"Yes! I would. To seek that
rest from our Lord. To come into His rest; not of this world. Time of totally
intimate with our God." L.G.
"Oh yes, I would recommend it
to anyone else. Because …it is good! It gives us a chance to refocus. I
received affirmation from the body of Christ about difficulties in my life that
would have possibly remained unspoken and unexamined. It is a graceful
experience! Thank you for Jim and Lois for this amazing ministry.
You minister to those who minister to others." N.M.
